I have had one of the most amazing weekends in months! We went skiing with the O'Steens, the Vogels, and the Schuberts(i apologize for my incorrect spelling)! I have so many stories that I couldnt possibly tell them all; but here are a couple:
1) The blizzard had just passed, the snow was up to our thighs, and the temperatures were in the single digits. What did we decide to do? Well go out and play ofcourse. So we strapped on our marshmellow suits and waddeled out into the snow. The whole lake was supposedly frozen over and Kirsten decided to walk on it. Thinking that i could do anything Kirsten could do: i followed her. Kirsten had maybe taken three steps out onto the lake when her leg sunk clear through the ice into the muddy water below. She screamed "GO BACK", lifted her leg out of the hole and ran! We didnt try walking on the lake after that. Oh and you think thats as bad as it gets, well this was just the first of MANY of Kirstens near death experiences.
2) The O'Steens went skiing! Although in the begining Kirsten was quite resistent she eventually came around. And the rest of the O'Steens loved it. Emiley took on to it like a fish does to water and Hannah, there are no words to explain how quickly Hannah picked it up! Aunt Steen and Uncle Steen liked it to, and i am just so happy that they have learned to love it like our family does.
The whole weekend was amazing!! I cant wait for the next trip!

ummmm.....hellloooo???? we need to hear way more stories than that!! And I still think Kirsten stepped in a snow pocket, not the water.....
ReplyDeleteNO I DID TOO FALL IN WATER!!!!! i should kno it was me, and can u please stop telling people i didnt because i really did (im saying this respectfully if u cant tell) anywho- maddie u left out tons!!! i could go on and on and on- like my many more near death expiriences and throwing bagels at skiers and so much more about falling and dying and sitting next to random strangers on the lift and oh wat else... o yeah the percy jackson trailers and nearly falling of the bunk every time i tried to get out and the hot tub and how my hair froze, etc. etc.....
